SOFTBALL: Red Devils lose at HHC foe Seymour 7-2

SEYMOUR – Jeffersonville suffered a 7-2 loss Saturday at Hoosier Hills Conference rival Seymour.
Red Devil pitcher Jennah Tincher got the loss. The senior yielded five runs (all earned) on six hits and two walks in 2 1/3 innings. Teammate Lizzy Coons pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (both unearned) on two hits. Coons struck out four.
Both Jeff pitchers did not get much help from their defense, which committed four errors.
Two Red Devils had multihit games. Junior Lindsey Johnson went 2-for-3 with a run scored, and senior Kaylee Strong wound up 2-for-4.
Jeff (3-4) will visit Providence at 5 p.m. Monday.
