SOFTBALL: New Albany loses to HHC foe Stars 7-5

NEW ALBANY – New Albany lost to its second formidable Hoosier Hills Conference foe this week Thursday at Prosser Field, falling to Class 4A No. 5 Bedford North Lawrence 7-5.
The Bulldogs (3-4) had four players collect two hits. Terah Crosier went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Going 2-for-4 for New Albany were Mariah Grant, Marissa Jones and Erikah Crosier.
Jones had a double, a three-run home run in the seventh, three RBIs and two runs scored. Grant collected a double and a triple along with scoring a pair of runs.
Bulldog pitcher Alyssa Kraemer got the loss. She pitched four innings, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks.
Stars pitcher Zoe Adams improved her record to 9-0. In five innings of work, Adams yielded two runs (both earned) on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
