SOFTBALL: Bulldogs thump Scottsburg in five 18-3

NEW ALBANY – New Albany evened its record at 4-4 on Friday at Prosser Field with an 18-3 win over Scottsburg in five innings.
Three Bulldogs each smacked three hits. Sophomore Riley Case went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Fellow sophomore Terah Crosier was 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Sophomore Bri Schoenfeld ended up 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Morgan Jenks was the winning pitcher. She threw three innings as she yielded three runs (two earned) on seven hits. Jenks struck out three and walked one.
For Scottsburg (2-7), Kacey Gambrell went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Grace Cannon was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
