CLARKSVILLE – In a game that lasted just three innings, New
Albany defeated host Clarksville last Friday at Hauber Field 5-0.
New Albany starter Bri Schoenfeld pitched a three-hit
shutout to earn the win. The sophomore right-hander recorded four strikeouts
and one walk.
Bulldog freshman Jewel Cunningham went 2-for-2 with a run
scored and a stolen base. Also for New Albany (11-14), Madison Lawson scored
two runs and Riley Case had two RBIs.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start, scoring four runs in
the top of the first inning. They added a run in the top of the second.
