NEW ALBANY – After giving up a run in the top of the first
inning, host New Albany scored four times in the bottom half and rolled to a
10-1 victory over Class 3A No. 10 Silver Creek last Tuesday at Mt. Tabor Field.
The Bulldogs (13-8) wound up with 10 hits. New Albany’s
Jacob Mullins and Logan Charbonneau each went 2-for-3 with a double. Teammate
Steven Thom was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Bulldog junior pitcher Ryan Robison got the win on the
mound, improving his record to 5-3. The left-hander threw six innings,
surrendering one earned run on six hits and two walks. Robison struck out seven
Dragons (18-7).
Silver Creek pitcher Brian Campbell got the loss. Teammates
Bryson McNay and Dylan Murphy each smacked a double for the Mid-Southern
Conference champions.
