SEYMOUR – Jeffersonville wound up fourth in the Hoosier
Hills Conference Tournament last Friday with a 6-4 loss at Seymour in the
third-place game.
Red Devil senior Juliette Schuur went 3-for-4 with a double
and a run scored. Jeff freshman Nan Garcia was 2-for-3 with a triple, a run
scored and an RBI.
Red Devil senior pitcher Jennah Tincher got the loss. Jeff sophomore
Lizzy Coons threw five innings in relief, allowing three runs (two earned) on
eight hits. Coons walked two and struck out one.
Lo Schmidt paced the Owls (13-4) on offense with three hits.
Teammate Mikayla Moore picked up the complete-game victory.
