JEFFERSONVILLE – Jeffersonville got its offense out of a
major rut Saturday night at Johnson Arena, as it beat Indianapolis Tech 79-43.
The Red Devils (9-8) snapped a four-game losing streak, where they averaged
48.3 points per game.
The 79 points Jeff scored were the most since it posted 83
in a 20-point home victory over Louisville Manual on Jan. 7. Against Tech
(4-9), the Red Devils shot 29-of-54 from the field (53.7 percent) and 11-of-20
from 3-point range (55 percent).
Bailey Falkenstein led Jeff with a game-high 26 points, scoring
22 in the first half. The junior connected on nine of his 13 field-goal
attempts, including 3-of-3 from behind the arc.
Sophomore guard Joe LaGrange had 12 points, while teammates
Mike Minton and Gabe Gallahar each tallied nine. Jeff junior Gerrin Moore had
eight points and six rebounds, while Red Devil freshman Tre Coleman grabbed a
game-high seven boards.
The key quarter for the Devils was third when Jeff outscored
the Titans 31-11 to take a 47-22 halftime lead.
Tech had no one score in double figures. Ernest Myles and
Jacarr Boone each paced the Titans with seven points.
The Red Devils will host Evansville Harrison at 8 p.m. EDT
Thursday.
