NEW ALBANY – New Albany junior Romeo Langford was named the
Indiana Basketball Coaches Association District 3 Player of the Week on Monday.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 39 points per game in leading
the Bulldogs to two victories this past weekend against Madison and Scottsburg.
Langford registered 43 points, five rebounds and four assists in New Albany’s
103-50 home win over the Cubs last Friday. Last Saturday in the Dogs’ 97-40
triumph at Scottsburg, Langford had 35 points, eight boards, five assists and
five steals.
It was the second time Langford has earned the award this
season.
North Harrison sophomore Lilly Hatton captured
the IBCA Girls’ District 3 Player of the Week honor Monday.
