GIRLS’ SWIMMING: Southern Indiana to be represented in state finals

INDIANAPOLIS – Nine swimmers and one diver from Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties will be competing in the IHSAA State Finals on Friday and Saturday at the Indiana University Natatorium on the IUPUI campus.
The swimming preliminaries will start at 6 p.m. Friday. The top 16 finishers will qualify for Saturday’s championship and consolation heats, which will begin at 1 p.m.
The diving preliminaries and semifinals will start at 9 a.m. Saturday. The top 20 divers in the prelims will advance to the semis. The top 16 finishers in the semis will move on to the finals, which will take place in the middle of the championship and consolation heats.
The list of participants from Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties are below with their events:
JEFFERSONVILLE: Adeline Dixon (100-yard breaststroke, 400 freestyle relay); Hallie Dixon (200 free, 500 free, 400 free relay); Caroline Elliott (200 medley relay); Megan McEwen (200 medley relay); Jacqueline Richard (200 medley relay, 400 free relay); Rachel Walker (200 free, 500 free, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay).
NEW ALBANY: Greer Manger (50 free).
CORYDON CENTRAL: Gracie Saulman (200 individual medley, 100 free).
FLOYD CENTRAL: Anya Davenport (diving); Lauren Thompson (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke).
