JEFFERSONVILLE – I am going to have to make my picks short
this week. It has been another hectic week.
Here they are:
FRIDAY’S GAMES
New Albany (4-3, 3-2
Hoosier Hills Conference) at Seymour (3-4, 2-3), 7 p.m.
Old Kev says:
This game has a history of some entertaining, high-scoring matchups and I
expect Friday’s meeting to live up to that reputation. The Bulldogs will find a
way to walk out of Bulleit Stadium with a win.
Old Kev’s pick:
New Albany 41, Seymour 38.
Class 5A No. 4 Columbus
East (6-1, 5-0 HHC) at Jeffersonville (2-5, 2-3), 7 p.m.
Old Kev says: The
Red Devils’ challenging schedule this season has helped them improve even
though it does not show in the win column. Jeff should gain more valuable
experience and take more lumps Friday night at Blair Field against the Hoosier
Hills’ top program. Still, games like this one should help the Devils in the
long run.
Old Kev’s pick: Columbus
East 45, Jeff 20.
Providence (4-3) at
Milan (6-1), 7 p.m.
Old Kev says: The
Pioneers begin their late-season road tour with a trip to the fourth-highest
scoring team in Class 2A in the Indians.
Even though Milan has had a great season, one of its six
wins have come against a squad currently with a winning record in 4-3
Batesville. I think Providence’s early season tests versus New Albany, Floyd
Central and Silver Creek will come into play at Milan, and the Pioneers will
extend their win streak to five.
Old Kev’s pick:
Providence 21, Milan 19.
