SEYMOUR – No. 4 Floyd Central started the Class 4A Seymour
Sectional with a huge bang last Tuesday at Scott Gym, thumping Hoosier Hills
Conference rival Bedford North Lawrence in the sectional opener 76-35.
Junior forward Cobie Barnes led the Highlanders (23-1) with
a game-high 26 points. Floyd Central seniors Matt Weimer and Luke Gohmann each
scored 12.
Junior Jathan Ritter paced the Stars (14-9) with 12 points. Bedford
recorded a season-low in scoring.

COUNTY 47
The host Owls downed rival Jennings County in the second opening-round
contest last Tuesday, 52-47.
Seniors Eddie Louden and Tiller Cummings shared
leading-scoring honors for Seymour (12-11) with 16 points apiece. Teammate Alan
Perry chipped in nine.
Three Panthers (5-19) reached double figures. Senior Travis
Wilson poured in 15 points, followed by freshman Landin Hacker with 13 and
sophomore Gage Walters with 11.
